The Alan Jackson Concert

Here are some pictures of Craig and me at the Alan Jackson concert at the USANA Amphitheatre.

We went with Craig's ex-landlords, Val and Kelley Westenskow. They were a ton of fun!

This concert was extra special since Craig was finally old enough to buy beer.

I loved that we were on the grass in the "cheap seats". We danced around all night. It was so much fun!

Rock Climbing at Momentum

Craig's 21st birthday is on Monday, so I decided to take him rock climbing at Momentum. It is an indoor climbing gym that has tons of different things to do. There was traditional rock climbing, bouldering, and crack climbing. There was even a wall for younger kids where the rocks were shaped liked numbers or the alphabet so they would know in which order to climb. It was so cute!

Here I am all suited up and ready to climb. We spent most of our time climbing on these kind of walls. Then we wanted to test how well we could climb without the security of a rope, so we headed over to the bouldering area.

Craig was a total natural. He was so adorable to watch.

Apparently I rely on the security of a rope a lot. I had a really hard time in this section, but I still had a blast. I just focused on horizontal climbing rather than vertical climbing.

My favorite thing to do was sit on the really cushy ground and watch Craig. He made jumps and lifts that I can't imagine myself doing without a lot more training. I think he really enjoyed my birthday present. I hope we can do this again sometime.

A Day At Hogle Zoo

It was a gorgeous day, so Craig decided to take me to the zoo. We wanted to see the white alligator (or crocodile, I can't tell the difference) that was being advertised. It was a great day. We saw a lot of cool animals. These were our favorites.

Once we got to the ape exhibit, we wanted to see how we compared.

My fingers aren't nearly long enough...

...and Craig's arms aren't quite long enough. Shoot! Looks like we'll have to stick with the rest of the humans.

Just before we left, we figured we'd really act our age and get some animals painted on our arms. Craig's turtle is so cute. It was a great day!

Downtown Carriage Ride

Craig told me that he had a surprise for me and he wanted me to get dressed up. He told my friends what he had planned, so they helped me pick out my outfit and do my hair. Then he put me in the car and we headed downtown. After we parked, Craig took my hand and we started walking.

I didn't know what he had planned until we stopped next to this sign advertising horse-drawn carriage rides. I was so excited. I've wanted to do this since I was a little girl. I remember seeing couples riding in the carriage and it looked so romantic. Now it was my turn. Craig is so incredible!

Notice the bride in the background of the picture above? Well, we got there just as she showed up with her new husband. We let them take the first carriage so Craig and I just sat there and cuddled until it was our turn.

The ride started by Temple Square and went all the way to Memory Grove. It was so beautiful and relaxing. It was a touch cold though so Craig held me tight. I really love this man!

Work Really is a Pain

One day towards the end of work, I get a text from Craig saying that his is leaving the hospital now so he will be home a little late. Yeah, I was confused too. I later learned that a large, metal poll fell off the wall at his warehouse and smacked him in the face. There was so much force behind it that it just split his cheek open. The doctor said that it was equivalent to a 180 lbs. man punching him in the face. I guess he was kind of lucky that it missed a nerve cluster by his eye that could have paralyzed that side of his face.

Our friends really got a kick out of saying that I was the one that had punched him. How sad!

Rascal Flatts Concert

These pictures were taken while we screwed around waiting for the Rascal Flatts Concert to start at the Delta Center. He is such a weird boy. I love him to death!
