Brayden's First Twinkie

Now that Brayden is almost 2 we don't get very many firsts with him anymore. Still, today was the first time Brayden got to eat a Twinkie. I think he enjoyed it.

Kelsi's First Tattoo

One of the things that we did with our tax returns this year was to buy both Craig and I a new tattoo. Last week, Craig went in to Big Deluxe to get his armband done. While we were waiting for the artist, I was looking through some books showcasing the other artists' work and I fell in love. The idea for my tattoo was finally solidified. I went and talked to the artist, Bart, right then and set up an appointment for today to begin work on mine. I'm not going to lie, I was extremely nervous, but I still showed up.

Above shows the outline of my future tattoo. This is my last chance to chicken out before he started work. I still loved it, so below is now what the left side of my back looks like. It really hurt, but I'm looking forward to adding all the color and shading to really make it impressive.

Afternoon at Walden Park

Today was a really beautiful day, so Brayden and I walked over to the park next to our house after lunch. It's amazing to watch how much this kid is growing.

Today he really showed off how strong and brave he is getting by climbing up the arched ladder all by himself. It was fun to watch him impress himself.
