Playing at West Jordan Park

Summer really is a great time of year when you can spend every evening out of the house doing something active. Today, we spent our evening at the West Jordan park. It is the most impressive park I have seen yet. Minus water, anything a kid could hope to play with is here.

We all had a really great time! I love watching my boys play together.

My Personal Army

While playing around at one of the playgrounds next the Murray's soccar field, we found this headless soldier. Each of the boys took their turn posing as a knight and each face is priceless.

Jumping on the Trampoline

First off, I want to tell you how much I love my little boy! He is so adorable and I can't help smiling when I watch him play.

We were at my parents' house today and it was gorgeous outside, so we were hanging out in the backyard. Considering how much of a klutz he is, Craig and I thought it would be cute to watch him jump on the trampoline. We were right!

Craig's Campfire

Everyone loves a campfire! We had plans to go up one of the nearby canyons tonight to cook hot dogs and s'mores around a campfire, but things fell through. That didn't stop Craig though. He was absolutely determined to build a fire tonight. Jen was gracious enough to let us use her back porch. Craig brought our dutch oven and firewood and got to work.

It wasn't long before Craig and a pretty good little fire going. I admit that I was quite sceptical at first, but I was impressed at how well everything turned out. When Craig puts his mind to something, it generally isn't long before he gets his way.

Someone had the bright idea of using ginormous marshmallows for their s'mores. Charles tried it and made a horrible mess. It was great to watch. I stuck with my boring, yet delicious, regular marshmallows.

All in all, it was really a wonderful evening. Craig was so pleased with himself for pulling it off. I'm not sure what the extent of the damage is on our dutch oven yet, but I don't care. It was totally worth it.

Double Rainbow

While we were hanging out at the Matiyasic's this evening, the most beautiful storm clouds that I have ever seen came rolling in. It was such an incredible sight that Charles and Craig climbed onto the roof to get a better look. The only thing better than the storm clouds was the double rainbow they brought with them. It was an awesome summer storm.

Mini Golfing

Our family adventure this evening was to go miniature golfing at Mulligan's in South Jordan with Deana. Craig really enjoys golfing, so it was fun to watch him teach Brayden how it was done. I'm impressed at how quickly Brayden seemed to catch on.

We all had a blast! Toward the end, Deana tried to claim that she was "King of the Rock", but Brayden couldn't accept that. He climbed right up there with her. I don't think she minded sharing her thrown with such a little cutie.
