Goodbye UVSC. Welcome UVU.

Craig's old landlords invited us to join them at a community party celebrating Utah Valley State College becoming a University. There were some really great performers and some really awesome fireworks.

The worst part about the evening was waiting for the party to start. We were sitting on the baseball field at what is now Utah Vally University, so there was no shade. It was so hot. We brought Brayden with us, so we got really creative when it came to keeping him cool. First we created some shade with some of his blankets and then we stripped him down and put a wet cloth over him.

He was comfortable enough to sleep, but we were pretty miserable. It's a good thing that the entertainment made it all worth it.
Congratulations, UVU!

Bath Time

Brayden is slowly making friends with the bath tub. He still hates it, but now he'll just glare at it rather than scream at it.

I love looking at his little body. It's such a little miracle. And that round, little tummy is so adorable! I love him!

It's okay little man. I promise to warm you up and get you smiling again.

A Priceless Face

So adorable and so heartbreaking all at the same time. For as big as he can smile, he sure can frown.

Happy Belated Father's Day!

Since Phil and Sharon were out of town on Father's Day, they invited us up later to celebrate. Megan's family and Karrie were the only other ones to show up, but we still had a lot of fun roasting hot dogs and playing with the new babies.

The Cry of a Newborn

At the time, this sound would completely shred what was left of my nerves, but now that I have had some sleep, it's really adorable.

Brayden's First Concert

My parents invited us to some kind of celebration at a park in South Jordan. There were all kinds of things to do, but we were there for a concert and then fireworks.

Brayden spent most of the time sleeping in his car seat.

My mom was more than willing to keep an eye on her grandson, which gave Craig and I a chance to relax with each other.

The fireworks were beautiful. I love summer!

Father's Day

This Father's Day was really cool because it was the first time that Craig was celebrating it as a father. Before we went up to Clearfield to visit my family, we stopped at Jan's house to see Craig's family. It was fun to compare our little 5-week-old with his cousin, Dominik. He is just about 2 months older than Brayden. Our kid definitely needs to gain some weight.

Brayden's 5th Week

These were my favorite pictures taken during Brayden's fifth week with us. There aren't any stories that go with them. They are just adorable.

Brayden's First Smile

He did it! He finally smiled for real this time. He wasn't constipated or anything else like that. Craig was playing with him and got him to smile. Somehow I love him even more right now.

Brayden's 4th Week

Taken Thursday the 29th (May): One of Craig's coworkers gave Brayden this outfit. I think the socks on his hands give it a nice touch.

Taken Tuesday the 3rd (June): I don't remember where we were headed, but Brayden was just too cute so I took a picture to share with Craig.

Taken Wednesday the 4th (June): Brayden is officially four weeks old! I can't believe how much he has grown in just four weeks.
