"Poker Face"

Brayden and I met up with my family this evening after they got home from the airport. They spent the last week picking up Kira from BCT/boot camp at Fort Sill, OK. After a yummy pizza dinner, we all went downstairs to play with Kira and Travis' Xbox Kinect. It was a lot of fun and I finally figured out from where Brayden got his fist pumping dance move...

Enjoy the video!

Shake Those Hips

Earlier today, while we were downtown waiting for Trax to show up, Brayden was dancing and shaking his hips to our friend's music. It was adorable. After we got home, we tried to get some of it recorded. It's still adorable!

"Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"

Brayden and I were having a wonderfully lazy day today - thus the PJ's still on after lunch - and we had a lot of fun playing together. At one point, he decided to become a little performer and sing for me. "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" now has a soft spot in my heart.

Sliding All By Himself

I took Brayden to Bouncin' Off the Walls this morning as an excuse to get out of the house. In the past, he has been rather clingy to me when we go down this slide. I mean, it is rather huge, but he acts really scared of it even when I'm holding his hand all the way up. Since then it seems like my little boy has grown up. He was doing it all by himself today.

Future Baseball Star

Since we will be in Vegas for Brayden's birthday this year, Nana gave him his birthday present early. Here we are outside teaching him how to play. He did pretty good for this being his first time every hitting a ball.

"I Got My Boots"

From what I've noticed, my son's favorite thing about winter is getting to wear his boots. Any time there is the slightest bit of snow outside, he asks to wear them. On our way out of the house today, he was being especially cute about it as he stomped his way out to the car.

Learning to Swing

I was trying to teach Brayden how to swing by himself today. At first it seemed almost possible and then he lost all interest.

Diet Coke + Mentos

Craig and I had seen on both the Internet and Mythbusters that an odd explosion happens if you add Mentos to Diet Coke. Craig wanted to try it out and I had to get it on video in case it worked. Check it out!

Jumping on the Trampoline

First off, I want to tell you how much I love my little boy! He is so adorable and I can't help smiling when I watch him play.

We were at my parents' house today and it was gorgeous outside, so we were hanging out in the backyard. Considering how much of a klutz he is, Craig and I thought it would be cute to watch him jump on the trampoline. We were right!

Brayden Playing with Daddy

As a mother, there are a few things just totally make your day. I got to experience one of those today while watching my amazing husband play with my beautiful little boy. The videos are a little dark, but you can sure hear Brayden laughing.

Communicating

This is one of my favorite recording of Brayden so far. After his bath this evening he was making all sorts of noises. Once this one showed up Craig and I couldn't stop laughing. Kids know when they are being funny so he kept doing it long enough for us to record it. It's hilarious!

Brayden and the Balloon

I love it when kids amuse themselves. In the above video, Brayden is attempting to pounce on the balloon that I bought for Craig when he was getting his wisdom teeth removed. In the video below, he is running back and forth with it. Both are rather amusing. During both, I'm just sitting on my bed watching him play. It was a really easy day for me.

Caught on Tape

Brayden has been escaping from his crib a  couple times over the past few days. While we were playing with his ball today, I finally got to see him climb over the rail of his crib. In the video, the rail is lowered because I didn't want him to break his neck.

New Words

Here we are showing off Brayden's new favorite words. Enjoy!

Bathtub Gibberish

Brayden is so close to really talking, so I knew I had to record this gibberish before it is gone for good.

It's not the best example, but it's all I could get. When he knows I'm recording him he gets distracted.

My Little Walker

We are celebrating our little boy today because he officially walks. Granted, it took bribing him with a cell phone, but he still walked!

The Closest Thing We Have to Walking

I know it's not much, but this is the best we have so far. We'll keep working on it.

Dancing in the Tub

Bath time is one of Brayden's favorite times of the day. He loves chewing on the rubber ducks and he loves splashing in the water. Below is a video of Brayden dancing in the bathtub.

At one of my baby showers I was given this little robe. I'm sure I like it a lot more than he does. Thanks, baby, for humoring me.

Playing at the Rec. Center

In a shimmering moment of sophistication and maturity, a group of us decided to go play around in one of the classrooms at the nearby recreation center.

In the above two pictures, we each posed with the workout balls. In the top you'll find Travis, Dean and Craig. Below that you find Haylie, me, Kira and her friend, Katelyn Ashby.

Here, Dean is attempting to do yoga on top of a tall platform. He wasn't very successful.

Below is a video of some of Travis' break dancing moves. He's pretty good.

Next is a video of a worm race. The four contestants are Craig, Kira, Dean and Travis. Even though both Kira and Dean try to cheat, Craig is the clear winner. Travis didn't even try.

I'm really glad we didn't get caught by anyone that worked there because I doubt they would have appreciated what we were doing. However, we had a ton of fun. It was nice to play like an immature teenager again.

My First Argument with Brayden

I had my first argument with Brayden today and it was the cutest thing ever. My mom and I were looking for some new dresses for Christmas and we took Brayden along with us to the mall. He was getting really bored and therefore really fussy. I don't remember why, but I said something silly/stupid and nodded my head. Brayden responded by shaking his head at me. It was hilarious! This went on long enough for me to record a little bit of it.
