New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve was rather tame for us this year with our new baby. We hang out close to the baby moniter while Brayden slept the night away.

Craig's coworker, TJ, and TJ's friend, Seth, joined us that evening while we played games and sipped sparkling cidar. We all had a lot of fun.
Welcome to 2009!

My Baby Mozart

The piano is easily one of my favorite instruments. I have been playing it since I turned 8-years-old. I can't wait to officially start teaching Brayden how to play.

Game Night

Game nights are one of my favorite ways to spend time with the family. Tonight we got together to play Chicken Foot (a version of dominoes).

We were having so much fun, Brayden even joined in.

Bowling Double Date

We went bowling this evening with Kira and Travis. We were all striking a pose as we showcased our mad bowling skills.

We had a blast! I really enjoy hanging out with my sister and our boys.

Cleaning Up After Christmas

It is only two days after Christmas, but it is already time to clean up all the Christmas decorations. Once everything had made it into its box, Brayden decided to attack a relaxing Craig.

Next Brayden did a little posing on some of the Christmas totes. So adorable!

Random Pictures from December '08

Taken Tuesday the 2nd: This play mat is one of Brayden's favorite toys with which to play. Now that he can sit up on his own he spends more time sucking on the arches than he does playing with the hanging toys.

Taken Tuesday the 9th: He just looks so happy watching me get ready for the day.

Taken Friday the 12th: We were at Cafe Rio for lunch and Brayden was so happy.

Taken Wednesday the 17th: Just a really great face.

Taken Saturday the 20th: Mommy loves her little boy.

Taken Monday the 22nd: Mommy has Brayden stuck in a headlock.

Taken Friday the 26th: Brayden eating a banana for lunch. I love the face!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning is finally here! I wasn't quite sure how things were going to work this morning. I've never had a baby on Christmas before, but today was perfect. Brayden slept in so Craig and I were able to open all of our presents with my family without having to worry about Brayden.

It is so much fun to have a family Christmas morning. I loved watching Craig's face as he opened the gifts I got for him.

I made sure to follow our own little tradition by buying each other new pillows. It's so cheesy, but it makes Craig and me smile so I don't care.

Once Brayden woke up, our whole focus shifted to him. We were so excited to see him play with the things we got for him. He didn't really understand the unwrapping part, so Craig helped.

Brayden looked like he enjoyed himself and he got a lot of new toys that he'll enjoy playing with. I look forward to the year when Brayden is as excited for Christmas as I am.

Christmas Eve with Furse's

Tomorrow is Christmas! But that doesn't mean that we can't open a few presents tonight.

My mom followed one of my favorite traditions by making all us kids PJ pants for us to wear the night before Christmas. She always puts a lot of thought an creativity into this project. They were even color coordinated by family this year.

My Grandma Furse also joined us for the festivities. It was a wonderful evening!

Christmas with Capizzi's

Yup. It's that time of the year again. Time to head up to Clearfield for the Capizzi's Christmas Party.

After all of the traditional festivities (dinner, opening presents, etc.) the adults settled down to a game of Cranium.

Meanwhile, the little cousins played with Grandma and Grandpa's toys on the floor.

We had a great time and we look forward to celebrating another Christmas with this group next year!

My First Argument with Brayden

I had my first argument with Brayden today and it was the cutest thing ever. My mom and I were looking for some new dresses for Christmas and we took Brayden along with us to the mall. He was getting really bored and therefore really fussy. I don't remember why, but I said something silly/stupid and nodded my head. Brayden responded by shaking his head at me. It was hilarious! This went on long enough for me to record a little bit of it.

Ward Christmas Party

We met up with my parents over at the Ward Christmas Party this evening. By the way, these are by far my favorite PJs that Brayden owns.

Brayden didn't make it very long until he passed out. Oh well. Merry Christmas, baby!

Excited About Using a Cup

Brayden is getting so much better at drinking out of a cup. He is nowhere near being able to do it by himself, but he's excited by the idea.

Trying to Stand Up

This is a video of Brayden in our laundry basket trying to stand up. I love watching his little legs move. Sadly, since I was recording this on my phone, it cut off just before he succeeded in standing up. The problem was, since he was leaning on the very front of the basket, he then proceeded to fall over.

Learning to Use a Cup

Brayden was playing with this cup trying to get the little bit of water out of the bottom. He wasn't very successful, but he was funny.

Mixture of Families

Grandma and Grandpa Capizzi babysat Brayden today for the first time. Kira and her boyfriend, Travis, invited Craig and I to go see a movie at the theater where Travis works. The theater is right next to Phil and Sharon's house, so we were able to drop Brayden off while we went on our double date.

After the movie, Phil and Sharon were nice enough to have us all over for dinner.

Brayden's cousin, Zoe, even joined us. It was a wonderful way to spend a day.
