Craig's project today is to replace the hood on his Suburban. I'm not really in to this kind of thing, but I have to admit that the new hood is pretty. Now Craig is talking about painting the whole thing black when he's done.
Welcome! This is Kelsi's version of the advantures of Craig, Kelsi, and Brayden Capizzi. We hope you enjoy.

Baby #2's 11 Week Ultrasound
Since my last pregnancy was a miscarriage at nine weeks, my doctor wanted to see us again only three weeks after our last visit. I am thrilled to announce that everything is looking great so far. The baby is growing and we were able to see a slight heartbeat in the ultrasound. I still have my fingers crossed, but I'm starting to hope that I will actually hold my new baby in February.
(By the way, my uterus is the dark half circle that you see in the picture. Inside, you can see the baby's head (left) and torso (right). At this point the baby is fully formed and just gets bigger and stronger over the next six and a half months.)

Pioneer Day
Since Craig doesn't get Pioneer Day off work Brayden and I spent the day at the Matiyasic's with Deana and Jen. Brayden spent most of the afternoon playing in the water with Lucky and Teeko. At one point Deana kinked the hose so the pressure would build and startle Brayden. Well, he catches on very quickly. Now he's obsessed with kinking the hose and stopping the sprinklers.
After getting Brayden dressed and dry, Deana, Jen and I took him to the concrete in their backyard so we could throw Pops at the ground. His arms are getting pretty strong so he was able to get most of them to pop on his own. There were still a few that he had to stomp on.

Suburban-Passenger's Back Panel
Craig has already started work on restoring his Suburban. Tonight, he sanded and primed the back panel on the passenger side. He also ordered the transformer decal for the window. It's amazing how much better it looks when the panel is ll one color. Since Craig has never restored anything before he is just feeling his way through this. It will be fun to watch this beast of a vehicle transform.

Camping at Jordanelle
Since the road to our normal camping spot is flooded right now, we took Jan up on her offer to come camping with her at Jordanelle. It was such a beautiful day yesterday. When we first got there, we walked down to the water's edge so Brayden could play and we could all stretch our legs after the drive.
After we had pitched our tent, Craig, Brayden and I wandered over to the playground next to Jan's campsite. We had a lot of fun playing together until Tori and Courteney arrived. Then it was time to go back to camp for dinner.
Jan had a delicious dinner planned for us. I think we all slightly over ate.
Then it came time for the thing I had been looking forward to the most; S'mores! Craig got the fire started in no time and he was even sweet enough to cook my marshmallow for me.
When everyone had finished using the fire to cook, Jan threw in some packets that turned the fire different colors. At one point we saw green, blue and purple in addition to the regular fire colors. It was cool to watch. Brayden was fascinated.
To end off the night, we all walked over by the marina to watch the fireworks over the water. It was nice to be further away so they didn't scare Brayden as much. As soon as we got back to camp, Brayden told us that he was ready for bed, so we put him down for bed and Craig and I stayed up late talking and enjoying the fire.
This morning, Jan had breakfast ready for us as soon as we got up. I love how relaxing this weekend has been. I definitely plan on camping with Jan more next year, especially since we will have a newborn at that point.

Craig's New Suburban
It's so big. Brayden almost disappears in this picture.
Craig is so excited to start work on his new 'burban. Today, he wanted to document what it looks like before he starts working on restoring it. Between Jill getting sideswiped in it over a decade ago and driving up and down the canyon in the winter with all the salt on the road there is a lot of work to do.

Suburban Trade-Off
Craig is now the proud new owner of an '87 Suburban. Rob recently got himself a nice, big truck making the 'Burban no longer necessary. They told us they were planning on selling it, so we mentioned it to a bunch of our friends. One was interested, but when we called Jan to see how much they were asking, she offered it to us, for FREE. Craig was so excited! After sitting down and talking it out we knew this was an opportunity we couldn't pass up, so we accepted. How incredible! For the first time in our marriage we now have two vehicles. Thank you so much, Jan and Rob!

Baby #2's 8 Week Ultrasound
Good news!!!
Sometime around Valentine's Day next year we are going to have another baby!
Toward the end of May/beginning of June, I started feeling slightly queasy. It usually happened whenever I would brush my teeth. It was quite odd. We were trying to have a baby, so we wondered if that was causing it, but nothing like that happened with Brayden so we didn't know. On June 10th, I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. We are expecting again!
Today we went to see my OB, Dr. Tilly, for our first prenatal check up. She confirmed that we are pregnant and, based on my LMP and the size of the baby, the expected due date is February 15, 2012.
(By the way, in the picture above, first locate the largish black circle towards the middle. That is my uterus. Inside that, the circle on the left is the yolk sack and the funny shape between in x's is the baby.)
